FEED USA + Target

As a huge fan of Target I was so thrilled to read about Target's latest collaboration. No it's not with a fashion designer but with FEED USA. With every purchase of the line, a certain number of meals will be provided to children and families in America. Hot damn, where's my shopping cart? It's time to get some new clothes and home decor pieces and do my part in helping in feeding my fellow Americans!

What I like about this collection is the Americana rustic urban feel. I'm talking chambray tops, basic soft tees, rope bracelets, charm necklaces, baseball caps, plaid and polka dots, cute baby onsies, and of course lots of pieces in red, white, and blue.

The collection also has lots of home pieces which I adore! We're seeing throw pillows, candles, pencil holders, plates, water bottles, cookie cutters, bake wear (love the navy and white polka dot one!), children's bike, coasters, iPhone cases, tote bags, dish towels, and so much more!

Big News

Remember when I explained that I was ready to trade my tired iPhone camera for a more professional camera?  I thought I would be able to save enough money to buy one by late March but thanks to my loving sweet Grandma, I was able to get the Canon EOS Rebel T3i 18 MP DSLR 18-55 IS II Lens early and I'm over the moon excited. My outfit and recipes pictures will be of high quality and overall, the blog!

I'm in the learning process of deciphering what the buttons and code letters mean but it's been a fun process. I'm looking forward to posting my first outfit post with the new camera which will be sometime early January and I hope you are too.

1. I must have dessert after lunch and dinner.
2. Fat cats make me smile and giggle. Their bodies amuse me!
3. I've dreamt of living in Brooklyn, NYC.
4. I believed in Santa Clause until 8-9. I really did try to hold on to that magical feeling.
5. I hate shopping at Wal-Mart.
6. I'm a vegetarian. Not a vegan because I can't part with my dairy and Tuna fish.

9. I want my next car to be pink or light yellow.

Zobia's 11 Questions For Me

1. Why did you start blogging? I wanted to feel passionate and develop a larger sense of purpose. Blogging has allowed me to learn more about the fashion/beauty/vintage world while creating a platform to express my outlooks. 
2. Where do you see your blog in your future? My goal is to have a well rounded blog with emphasis on fashion. beauty, recipes, DIY projects, and frequent outfit posts. My dream blog would be one like Cupcakes and Cashmere, Lauren Conrad, and Keiko Lynn. 
3. Will you continue to blog as you get older? Yes! While I'm maturing and navigating through new phases of my life, I want my blog to reflect that. I hope my readers will grow older with me!
4. What's your blog's inspirations? Everyday life, my favorite blogs (mentioned in Question #2), fashion and womens' magazines, and my love for the vintage years.
5. If you could live in any country in the world, what would it be and why? I would love to live in Italy for a year or two. I want to be immersed in another culture, learn a new language, and explore more than what's already in my life. My Mother's side is from Italy so there's a huge internal push to see the "motherland".
   
6. What's one thing that's absolutely essential to you every day? A shower. I don't feel ready for the world if I havn't taken a nice shower. 
7. Cheescake or Apple Pie? Apple pie all the way! I detest cheesecake (I'll eat the fruit topping on top though).
8. What's one of your favorite quotes? "A day without laughter is a day not worth living" by Charlie Chaplin.
9. Do you have any other blogs? Nope.
10. Describe yourself in 3 words. Optimist, spicy, determined
11. How do you show your personality through your blog? Through my style of writing and how I set up a post through empathy, wit, and personal stories. When appropriate, I'll write like how I talk. I also showcase my sense of style through outfit posts which I believe is a reflection of my personality.

Lucky Birthday Girl

Wow, I had an amazing birthday. I was able to visit my family, eat yummy savory tacos, devour the sweet chocolaty cookie cake, and won a two night get-away to Foxwoods Casino Grand Pequot Hotel!  I entered Jammin' 107.7's  giveaway and on Thursday we were invited to Foxwoods' High Roller for drinks, free food, a free game of bowling, and the chance to win the Pack Your Bags giveaway. Next day, we packed our bags, went to High Rollers, and we WON! They called my name, pictures were taken, and we were quickly shuffled into our deluxe room. We stayed that Friday and Saturday night and it was a blast, I even took a long hot bath and it was heaven. We also were given $150 in two gifts cards to the two hottest bars in Foxwoods and two complementary games of bowling.

On Saturday, we went back to my Grandma's for the family get together (only 20 mins away) and it was lovely like always. Johnny gave me my favorite perfume (is he a secret VintageDanielle reader?) and I also received a fabulous can't-wait-to-watch-in-marathon-form I Love Lucy DVD set featuring all nine seasons and tons of bonus material. I'm truly such a lucky girl to have won that giveaway and have family that really cares and loves me. Okay, enough of the gushy mush Brady Bunch love crap. I promise I'd take pictures and here they are
