Currently Obsessed - Prada F/W 2013

I recently saw the video promotion for Prada's F/W 2013 collection and I was super happy and then super sad because I knew there's no way in hell I could ever afford any of the pieces. Nonetheless, it's still exciting to drool over the vintage inspired line. I just adore the feminine style of the coats with a defined waist and a flared bottom, the bold lip, cute belts, and fur cuffs (only if it's not real fur)! The only thing I'm not obsessed over is the wet hair look. I never got that appeal, what's so great about looking like you were running late and didn't have enough time to blow dry your hair??

Yay or Nay - Denim Skirts

Working with J.Crew this summer has allowed me to find out what popular and what people are really into. I've noticed a big spike on orders of denim skirts, some cute, some not so much. Whenever I think of denim skirts, I can't help but picture the 1990s and ugly below-your-knee long denim skirts. I personally didn't like them but then I realized how wrong I was! Well, okay half wrong. I still hate the super long denim skirts but what I am growing to love are the knee length, mini, and high waisted denim skirts! You can dress them up girly and feminine or go the complete opposite with edgy 90s grunge! A good quality skirt will help create a hourglass figure as well as offer tummy control.

Current Cravings

Lately I've been craving this type of look of a cute cropped top and a full skirt. I was window shopping online for the pieces and after not finding what I had in mind, I used Polyvore to create my dream outfit. Isn't it darling? It has a Parisian feel, love the hat, the lace detail, and bold red and turquoise color. I just adore everything about it! I hope to find similar pieces to I can recreate this and of course share it all with you!

April Wish List

A new month and a new wish list. This month, I'm daydreaming about creamy pastel colors, vintage styles, and fun prints. I've been into statement necklaces but the prices for these beauties tend to be way too much for my little budget. I keep an eye out for Target's clearance section and thrift shops for necklaces that I can update in a little DIY project. Speaking of Target, the cute red and black dress is from there ($49) and I've been watching for it to eventually go on sale. The little red number is from the Prabal Gurung collection and I've learned that almost all of the limited edition collections DO go on sale.

Winter Brights

If you've been to Target recently, you've see racks full of amazing winter and fall clothing deeply discounted. I could hardly contain myself and I bought a few pieces that I'd been eyeing for weeks. As you can see, I'm obsessed over these colorful and bright pieces. The outfit is a fun way to stand out from the throng of winter's grays, navys, and blacks.

Outfit Obsession

One of my favorite outfit is the vintage classic cropped sweater paired with a full skirt. I love the look, it's cute, timeless, sweet, and so feminine. I found this picture (below) on Pinterest and it's the ultimate cropped sweater full skirt outfit for me. I adore the skirt's tulle-like material and the bits of soft golden sparken woven into the knit sweater.

love this smart look. slouchy knit and full skirt.
