Sam & Libby X Target

I was in Target, for like my third time this week, and I came across this glorious new shoe rack of stunning shoes. I literally stopped in my tracks and ran over to these Sam & Libby beauties and began drooling. Why didn't Target do a larger announcement of this partnership?! I didn't even this is was going on. Now who are Sam and Libby? In an interview with Forbes, we find out,

"Fashion veterans Sam and Libby Edelman have been in the business of footwear since they began working together on Esprit footwear the 1980s. Their first eponymous company Sam & Libby launched in 1987, eventually generating $88 million sales in just four years. The Edelmans sold the brand to Maxwell Shoe Company in 1996 and stepped away from the industry to focus on family. The hiatus was short-lived.

In 2004, Sam Edelman launched another eponymous brand. “I decided I wanted to start a footwear company that filled a void in the contemporary market,” he tells FORBES. The Edelmans report that since then, they have created more than 18 shoe styles that have each sold more than a million pairs and continue to dominate the contemporary footwear market."source

The Target collection, available in stores and online since May 5th, consist of 20 different styles, with a starting price of $22.99. YES, baby! Here is a sample of the featured designs. I'm loving the touches of neon, perfect for Spring and Summer.

Spring Inspiration

Spring has offically hit Virginia and I'm (do do do do do) loving it. I've worn only dresses these past few days and it feels so good to be back in them. What can I say, I'm a dress girl. The fabulous weather and change in wardrobe has inspired me to make a little My Style + Spring collage to express my inspiration.

Still Kicking Around

Hello everyone!

It's been almost 2 weeks since my double jaw operation and I'm still kicking around. It's been a very emotionally draining and tiring recovering process but I'm taking it day by day. My birthday was on Sunday and I knew I wouldn't be able to celebrate it in the normal way (food, party, etc.) so I did do a little birthday shopping days before the surgery.

I went shopping at Forever 21 and tried to keep in mind fun spring trends and dresses. Check out the gorgeous trends, what I bought, and other cute items I eyed.

Winter Brights

If you've been to Target recently, you've see racks full of amazing winter and fall clothing deeply discounted. I could hardly contain myself and I bought a few pieces that I'd been eyeing for weeks. As you can see, I'm obsessed over these colorful and bright pieces. The outfit is a fun way to stand out from the throng of winter's grays, navys, and blacks.

Chic, Cute, and Cheap - Summer Edition

Thanks for your patience, I know I announced this post on Monday and it's now Friday, my bad! I began the Chic, Cute, and Cheap series for the spring season and I really enjoyed finding easy to find fashion items for a price of $25 or less. With summer in full bloom, I think it's about time that Chic, Cute, and Cheap focus on the hottest months and how we gals can find affordable, classic yet trendy pieces. I focused more on color, fun patterns, and light fabric. I hope you'll find some wallet friendly inspiration.

What To Wear - Summer In The Office

Summer is sooo close I can smell it. Sadly for many of us we don't get three months off to frolick in the sun (one of the BEST things about being a student!). For us office drones we still must punch the clock and endure either the really hot and stuffy or the freezing AC-is-on-too-high work space. I want to share with you what I recommed as stylish, trendy, and comfortable summer work appropriate outfits.

As a reminder Summer 2012's trends include: neon, pastel, florals, peplum, and bold jewerly

Here are outfits from ASOS Fashion Finder that I thought were just perfect for summertime working gals.

Summer Is For Neon

One of summer's loudest and best trends is neon colors. In every clothing store that I've been to all I see are neon colors and I'm loving it. Adding a little or a lot of neon to your summer outfits is the way to go and might I add, it's so much fun to wear. The colors makes me feel young, vibrant, light, and well, summer-y. If I could I would spend $100s on cute and fabulous neon things but come on, who really has $100s to spend on the latest summer trend? I sure don't. In search for affordable and fab neon, this is what I found.

Sunglasses Are A Girl's Best Friend

I love sunglasses. They shield your eyes from the sun's harmful rays, hide tired red hangover peepers, and express your fun wonderful personality. There are so many different styles, shapes, and colors that there is bound to be at least one pair that will be perfect for you. I personally love the vintage cat-eyed shades in different colors and fun heart shaped glasses. Unfortunately, I already wear glasses so I had to get prescription sunglasses which meant I can't enjoy the cheap cute pairs that you can buy and wear off the rack. The prescription sunglasses I have now are Ray-Ban's New Wayfarer cat eyed inspired, in cream.
