Currently Obsessed - Prada F/W 2013

I recently saw the video promotion for Prada's F/W 2013 collection and I was super happy and then super sad because I knew there's no way in hell I could ever afford any of the pieces. Nonetheless, it's still exciting to drool over the vintage inspired line. I just adore the feminine style of the coats with a defined waist and a flared bottom, the bold lip, cute belts, and fur cuffs (only if it's not real fur)! The only thing I'm not obsessed over is the wet hair look. I never got that appeal, what's so great about looking like you were running late and didn't have enough time to blow dry your hair??

Phillip Lim X Target

More Target news? Well, I can't help that and in fact I think you'll want to read about this new designer collaboration. Starting September 15th, an exclusive and limited edition 3.1 Phillip Lim line for Target, including designs for both women and men, will be available.

Phillip Lim For Target

3.1 Phillip Lim can be described as Easy to wear, cutting-edge and young at heart—3.1 Phillip Lim embodies the cool-girl aesthetic. Launched in 2005 to instant acclaim, the brand updates classic
silhouettes with daring, trend-right twists. Sounds perfect for Target's younger customer base who are already in love with the previous collaborations and are into high-low fashion.

On Target's press webpage New York based designer Lim says: “Since an early age, I’ve been intrigued by the idea of design evolution. One of the reasons I wanted to collaborate with Target is because I felt that together we could create a collection that would inspire – one that is cool and chic, but still very accessible.”

The line will include more than 100 items with a price range of $20 to $300. One of the more higher priced pieces his is signature leather jacket which will range from $250-$300 (a major steal compared to his 3.1 leather jacket of $1,850!). Majority of the items will be available at just under $50. Phillip Lim's designer tops can go for over $700 and his dresses range from $450-$800 so I suggest getting in line EARLY if you want a piece or two from the collection. What I really like about this collection is that it includes menswear which is rare for designer collaborations with Target.

November Wishlist

In my dreams, I'd have all of them. I've always been into the sparkle and glitter so now that the holiday season is upon us, I'm into them even more, if that's even possible. The purple and reds are rich and dramatic colors I crave. Isn't the iPhone case cute or what? I love the vintage floral pattern, it's too adorable. I wrote about Prada's Candy perfume here and it's been on my wish list since then. The animal print belt has been something I've wanted to try. I'm not a huge animal print fan, too much reminds me of Jersey Shore but a touch here and there is exciting.

Etre Autumn/Winter 2012

It's fun looking ahead to S/S 2013 but remember, Autumn 2012 has just started! Why not live and shop in the present? Let's enjoy the moment with Etre's new lookbook. Etre, a London based design agency, has published their A/W 2012 collection, inspired by understated but characterful traditional British work wear. In 2007, Etre were inventive in their development of the Etre Touchy and Fivepoint Gloves. These simple and elegant gloves allow you to use modern touchscreen devices while keeping your hands warm. Genius, right? I sure could of use those last winter.

About the utilitarian apparel collection, "...includes traditional fishermen's sweaters, knitted to a pattern familiar to generations of fishermen's wives and customised with motifs originating in the centuries-old fishing communities of Polperro and Staithes...Work wear jackets are fabricated from 100 percent Melton wool, manufactured by a 150-year-old family business in West Yorkshire. Gansey sweaters are knitted from the finest 5-ply worsted wool, spun and dyed in Yorkshire mills that have been turning out the same material for generations. Leather gloves are made by a family business established in 1944, now one of the last surviving British glove manufacturers. Satchels and holdalls, crafted from the same high quality Melton wool as the jackets, are fabricated by a small Cornish leatherwork company" -- Etre

Colors of navy and rustic red as well as simplistic white stripes were prominent. There are other colors available such as sage, black, camel, charcoal, and olive. You can check out the lookbook here! A little reminder, Etre ships around the world :)

Autumn Wish List

Every season I have a little shopping wish list. Do I go out and buy every item? Hell no! But I can dream and window shop. So, if you see a hand and nose print on a shop's window, it was me. Right now I'm into the it colors of Autumn like cobalt blue, camel, and oxblood. I'm also becoming a fan of eye catching details like zippers, sequins, and studs - such a marvelous way to add a little Oomph into an ordinary piece.

Every girl needs a well fitted long sleeve blazer. It's usually in navy or black but why not add camel into the mix? The Autumn classic hue is very easy to add into a wardrobe because it goes well with almost any other color.

The peplum shape has been around for a couple of years and I really doubt it'll be fading in the limelight nor do I think it should. The feminine cut is fun, flirty, and brings back a fun retro feel. This simple blue dress can be dressed up and down for almost every occasional. Again, navy blue works wonderfully with lots of color combinations like tangerine, aqua or turquoise, red, camel or nude, black, and metal.

I love the faded oxblood sweater with the studded shoulders. It looks so comfortable and cozy without losing its edge and spunk. The black sequined purse is a fun item to have especially for a night out on the town, what girl doesn't like sequins and glitter? The boots are sexy and accommodating with its simple design and bold colors. The lined zipper effect is a fantastic effect!

Perfume Of The Moment

I consider October the month of sweet, mysterious, fun, and playfully sensual sensations. With Autumn telling us cozy on up and Halloween telling us to live on the edge, it feels like Prada's CANDY is the new Perfume Of The Moment.

The fragrance includes notes of caramel, white musk, vanilla, and noble benjoin. Candy's style is labeled as, "carefree, sophisticated, and sensual".

Here's the official description, "Prada CANDY is instantly seductive—pure pleasure wrapped in impulsive charm. In an explosion of shocking pink and gold, Prada CANDY takes us on a walk on the wild side, showing us a new facet of Prada femininity where more is more and excess is everything. Magnified by white musks, noble benzoin comes together with a modern caramel accord to give the fragrance a truly unique signature". CANDY is also available in gift set, body lotion, and shower gel.

Now doesn't that remind you of Autumn, Halloween, and Love Potion #9? It sure does to me!

Today was the first day it felt cold and chilly. I actually had to put on fuzzy socks and a sweater to keep warm. In keeping with tradition, I thought it was about time I write Fall's edition of Chic, Cute, and Cheap. In this edition everything you see is $50 and under. I chose pieces which incorporate Fall's exciting trends as well as few classic staples. Hope you find something that speaks to you.
