Peplum Is Back

Peplum is the vintage comeback kid of 2012! The feminine silhoutte was featured in many Spring/Summer/Fall 2012 fashion shows (Jason Wu, Givenchy, Bottega Veneta, Gucci, and more) and is making its way to a store near you. I think it's a wonderful style since it helps pull in the waist and excentuates the hips. Women of all shapes and sizes can pull off the peplum look because it flatters the right curves and hides the unwanted. If you wear it right, meaning well fitted, correct amout of fabric and right placement of the peplum, you'll look like a million bucks. However, if you wear a peplum silhoutte that's ill-fitted, too heavy in fabric, or the peplum is oddly placed, it's a no-no.

  1. Comepletely agree hun. THe peplum is indeed very feminine and certainly accentuates the waist and the hips but when dworn wrong can look absolutely terrible.

  2. I love peplum -- on other people. I think it looks awkward on me. So not my style, I guess. Boo.
